Dr. Collier is a native of the small rural community of Titus in Elmore County, Alabama. He acquired a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alabama in 1999. He worked as a process engineer with Kimberly-Clark Corporation in Beech Island, SC before pursuing his career in dentistry.
His engineering background has served as an excellent foundation for his work as a general dentist. In particular, his training as a problem-solver has helped shape his analytical approach to diagnosis and organized method of comprehensive treatment planning.
Lance is married to Kathryn Phillips Collier, originally from Cochran, GA. When they began looking for a place to raise their two young daughters and to start a practice, they were instantly taken with the wholesome, hometown feel of Columbus – and its thriving economy.
They decided on the up and coming development of The Village at Green Island on the north end of River Road as the location for the office. Further, the area offers all kinds of recreational activities, of which, Lance’s favorites are golf and bird hunting. They are excited about all the Chattahoochee Valley area has to offer and to make Columbus their home.
Columbus, GA dentist Dr. Lance Collier graduated in 2007 from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in Augusta. He completed a one-year General Practice Residency in 2008. He then spent the next two years in private practice in Macon and Warner Robins. He has developed his unique skillset through diverse experiences in the Middle Georgia area.
His exposure to different practice philosophies has helped refine his approach to patient care.
Dr. Collier’s hospital-based General Practice Residency, where he was recognized as Chief Resident, served to expand his surgical skills, including implant dentistry and advanced exodontia (tooth extraction).
