Invisalign uses comfortable, clear aligners to straighten your teeth without all the hassles of braces.

It fixes most alignment issues, including:

  • Underbites

  • Overbites

  • Open bites

  • Crossbites

  • Gapped teeth

  • Crowded teeth

The best part is it’s removable and hardly noticeable, making it a much more ideal orthodontic treatment for teenagers and adults than braces.

Convenience

Invisalign doesn’t require special care. Remove your aligners to eat, drink, brush, and floss as usual. Checkups are less frequent than with braces because you’ll switch to new aligners at home.

Invisalign® FAQs

Get quick and honest answers from Dr. Collier.
  • Does Invisalign work at any age?

Yes! You’re never too old to straighten your teeth with Invisalign.

The only difference between a younger and older Invisalign patient is speed. The younger you are, the easier it is to move teeth. But don’t let that discourage you – most treatments are done in only 12 to 18 months.

Invisalign is generally not recommended for children because it requires strict compliance with wearing the aligners in order for them to work, and children’s teeth are continually growing in, making aligners more difficult.

  • How long does Invisalign take?

The average treatment time for Invisalign is 12 to 18 months. However, you may begin seeing results in just a few weeks!

When you come in for a consultation, Dr. Collier will give you an estimated timeline.

Bonus: In many cases, Invisalign is faster than braces!

  • Is Invisalign treatment painful?

    Invisalign isn’t painful.

The aligners move your teeth with a gentle and constant force. It’s normal to feel temporary discomfort for the first few days of wearing a new set of aligners.

And when compared to braces, Invisalign is much more comfortable because you don’t have to deal with pokey wires or brackets harming your gums or cheeks.

Rest assured, if you experience continued discomfort, please contact us…Learn more by contacting us….

  • For how many hours a day should I wear my Invisalign aligners?

Invisalign aligners must be worn for 20 or more hours every day.

The aligners are removable, so you’ll be able to eat and drink as usual. Just remember to put them back on once finished.

You’ll be given approximately 8-12 aligners at each appointment and instructed to wear them 1-2 weeks before switching.

What happens if you don’t wear Invisalign as instructed?

If you leave your Invisalign aligners out too long, your teeth will begin to shift back. This may cause your aligners to not fit properly or at all, or treatment to take longer or be ineffective.
