Inlays & Onlays

Repair your damaged tooth and recapture your smile.
Our Modern Restoration

Restoring the integrity and function of a broken tooth.

Dental inlays and onlays are used to protect and strengthen interior teeth that have suffered from decay or severe trauma.

Both restorations are designed to replace any missing section of your tooth and repair damage that is too extensive for a regular filling.

Our inlays and onlays are custom-made to fit your specific needs. Plus, we use a tooth-colored composite material to produce healthy and natural-looking results that will make you fall back in love with your smile.

While other dental offices would require two or more visits to place inlays and onlays, we do things differently. Dr. Collier proudly uses CEREC® technology to design and create custom restorations right here in our office.

That’s right! You can restore your smile in just one visit!

Inlays

A strong and beautiful way to restore your smile.

Inlays replace a missing section of your tooth and can restore your smile’s integrity and function.

To be called an inlay, the dental material used must be placed between the little points or cusps on your premolars or molars, to produce a discreet and comfortable fit.

Inlays work almost like large fillings, except they offer a more durable and longer-lasting solution with excellent aesthetic and functional outcomes.

This Is What You Can Expect At Your Inlay Treatment:

  • Removal of the compromised tooth structure
  • Impression or digital scan taken
  • Design and manufacture of inlay
  • Careful placing of inlay

This restoration will provide you with stronger teeth and a happier smile!

Onlays

A more conservative approach to achieving a happy and healthy smile.

Unlike inlays, onlays cover the cusps and biting edges of your teeth to rebuild enamel that has been chipped or broken off due to extensive damage or decay.

Onlays are often compared to crowns because of their ability to cover such a large area, but they don’t seal your entire tooth.

As such, onlays represent a more conservative alternative to traditional crowns because they allow you to preserve your healthy, natural tooth structure.

Onlays are created and placed in the same manner as inlays.
