Tooth-Colored Fillings

Sometimes, no matter how well we care for our teeth, cavities can appear, and if they do, Dr. Collier is prepared to use fillings to restore your smile to optimal health.
The purpose of dental fillings is to seal a cavity and prevent bacteria-induced infection from spreading and causing more severe oral health problems.
When starting this simple procedure, Dr. Collier will first clean your infected tooth and then use a composite resin to fill the cavity. He’ll shape the resin to fit your natural bite and polish it for a beautifully finished restoration.
Instead of using traditional metal (amalgam) fillings, Dr. Collier uses beautiful tooth-colored restorations to match your smile’s natural look.
This procedure is non-invasive and provides long-lasting and outstanding aesthetic results.
CEREC® Crowns

Crowns are the ideal restoration if your tooth has cracked, fractured, or is severely decayed. Our custom-made crowns strengthen your tooth’s structure and help prevent future decay.
In the past, getting a crown meant multiple appointments and waiting weeks for your restoration to come back from a dental lab. Now, with CEREC® Same-Day Crowns…Opens a new window to the CEREC® website…, Dr. Collier can plan, design, and place your beautiful crown using our in-house dental lab.
With state-of-the-art CAD/CAM technology, your skilled dentist in Columbus, GA, can take digital impressions, craft your restoration, and create it – all in one visit.

Dental Bridges

If left untreated, losing a tooth can represent a potential risk for your whole-body health. The good news is that Dr. Collier can restore your smile’s integrity and prevent future dental problems by placing a dental bridge.
A bridge consists of two crowns attached to either side of an artificial tooth. The crowns are carefully placed over the adjacent teeth to anchor your new tooth.
This restoration gives you a natural-looking and fully-functional smile while providing an excellent alternative to patients who aren’t candidates for dentures or dental implants.
Get a beautiful and strong restoration that helps maintain your tooth’s natural look and function while safeguarding your overall health and preventing future dental problems.

Sleep Apnea

Getting a good night’s sleep is essential for your quality of life. Sleep directly affects your mood, energy, concentration, and overall health.
If you are experiencing trouble sleeping or often wake-up feeling exhausted, you may be suffering from sleep apnea.
Sleep apnea is a condition where you stop breathing during your sleep. The main cause of this issue is when your throat collapses, compromising your flow of oxygen.
Some subsequent symptoms include:
To help overcome sleep apnea, Dr. Collier recommends the use of a custom mouthguard. Using these innovative oral appliances helps you to maintain proper airflow during sleep. The custom nature of these mouth guards allows for a more comfortable fit and a better night’s sleep.

Snoring

Contrary to popular belief, snoring is no joke! If you are a chronic snorer, you may experience disrupted sleep, and so might those close to you.
Snoring is caused by the vibration of the muscles in your throat (which can be due to sleep apnea). Depending on your anatomy and other lifestyle factors, the vibrations can be louder or softer.
Like with sleep apnea treatment, one way to treat excessive snoring is to use a dental or oral appliance. These appliances are useful in correcting mild to moderate cases of snoring.
Dr. Collier can recommend an appliance that suits your particular needs without disrupting your sleep.
