One of the biggest dental problems of our day is the fact that most adults don’t like going to the dentist. Fear of the dentist or even just the thought that it isn’t necessary if you don’t feel any pain overwhelms people everywhere. But what problems does this cause? Surveys show that 31% of adults have tooth decay, 66% of adults have visible plaque, and 29% adults suffer from regular mouth pain of some sort.
The facts simply speak for themselves; we aren’t taking care of our teeth the way we should be.
In all honesty, the answer to this question isn’t the same for everyone. Some people are at a higher dental “risk” than others, such as people who have dry mouth for some reason or another. People who have braces will also need to visit the dentist more often for checkups and adjustments.
The fact that many people allow their dental health to go completely unchecked is a sad reality. Without proper supervision, our oral health can quickly decline. There are two major reasons that you should have regular dental checkups.
