How long does Invisalign® take?

Is Invisalign® treatment painful?
The aligners move your teeth with a gentle and constant force. It’s normal to feel temporary discomfort for the first few days of wearing a new set of aligners.
And when compared to braces, Invisalign® is much more comfortable because you don’t have to deal with pokey wires or brackets harming your gums or cheeks.

For how many hours a day should I wear my Invisalign® aligners?
Invisalign® aligners must be worn for 20 or more hours every day.
The aligners are removable, so you’ll be able to eat and drink as usual. Just remember to put them back on once finished.
You’ll be given approximately 8-12 aligners at each appointment and instructed to wear them 1-2 weeks before switching.
What happens if you don’t wear Invisalign® as instructed?
If you leave your Invisalign® aligners out too long, your teeth will begin to shift back. This may cause your aligners to not fit properly or at all, or treatment to take longer or be ineffective.
